Door Step wishes all our esteemed readers a merry Christmas and a Happy New
Year 2014.
In
today’s World, Christmas has become so commercialized and most of our children
might end up thinking that Santa Claus and not Jesus Christ, is at the center
of this great celebrations.
As
we mark this day, let’s call to our attention, the wise words given to us by
the Head of our Church, Pope Francis who pointed out on the danger of a World
that is chocked by parties, shopping and making noise.
"Like
the Virgin Mary, the Church this week is expecting a birth," Francis
noted.
"Is
there space for the Lord or is there space only for parties, shopping and
making noise?" he posed.
There
goes the challenge. Lets party for a Messiah who is born amongst us; lets shop
for ourselves and for the needy in our communities too; and let’s make noise,
glorifying our God who so much loves the World that He has given us His very
begotten son, for us and our salvation!
