Goodbye 2017 - Welcome 2018: Picture, Courtesy |
As
the year 2018 comes to an end, one sure thing that most of us are already doing
is to evaluate both our successes and failures in the course of the last 12
months.
Here
is how to end the year 2017 with positivity:
1. List all the good things that
happened to you, one month after the other: See, if you
start by looking with the positives, you will be amazed how much progress you
have made, after all!
2. List some 3 major achievements that
you can single out from all the successes listed on your first step: This
is critical; the milestones should be your pillars as you move forward. They should
propel you to achieve even greater things in the near future.
3. Evaluate your Previous Resolutions:
If you still have the list of the resolutions that you made at the beginning of
the year, go through them one-by-one; ticking only those that you accomplished.
Note though, those that you failed implementing and see what can realistically
be carried forward to the following year.
4. What did not work and why?
Do a list of some of the top things that really didn’t go down well with you in
the course of the year. For every matter listed, try and see what could have
been done better if you got yourself into the same circumstance, again.
5. Lost someone special? Take it
within your strides: In case you lost someone dear to you,
take some time off and think about the good memories that you shared with that
person. Say a prayer for their soul – it’s the best gift that you can ever give
them.
6. Leaner and Realistic 2018 Resolutions:
Come up with 5, yes, just 5 top things that you would wish to achieve in the
year 2018. Most of the times, we always end up with lengthy New Year resolution
list that is so far-fetched and so unrealistic. Come up with tangible yet challenging
undertakings for the New Year. You will thank me later.
